EMERGENCY CALL FOR TRANSLATION

Please take this call down after 14 days and move to Translate. Non-English speaking children are being held
against  their will in Clearwater, FL with their passports taken away from them. They are there in the guise of 
"religious missions". We need the following text translated to Portuguese, Spanish, Russian, Albanian, Hungarian, Czech,
Serbian/Croatian/Bosnian and Korean:

"Did they take your passport?
CALL THIS NUMBER xxxxxxxxxx"

ADD YOUR TRANSLATIONS HERE

Goal

Very basic goal is to have a service available to Anonymous for any videos, press releases or websites being worked on that text can be submited to for translation. If the text is for a video then a translation service that ends up returning a raw audio file in that language for use in a video would be needed.

Volunteers Needed!

The campaign against the Church of Scientology is expanding. Anonymous needs your help.

Translations will be needed for Press Releases, Websites and Video scripts before videos are made. Anonymous is global, this movement is global, our message must be global.

Do you have translation experience? Experience managing a translation project? This project needs someone to help get it organized who has actual experience in the field.

Things to be worked on

Just volunteer through here Call To Arms: Translators or add yourself to the team per language.

  • How many people per language? (as many as we can get?)

Minimum two people per language: one can have student level proficiency and the other native speaker proficiency. More people per language means we can validate translations via multiple attempts and proof reading.

  • How does something get submitted to the team?

  • How does something get returned?

All first drafts will be entered at the wiki and native speakers can edit directly.

  • What existing content needs to be translated?

Ides of March call to action video script. April Operation Reconnect video script. The three most effective paper flyers with the most pickup during the 2/10 protests.

  • How can we distribute this content?
  • Can we get more connected with the teams making videos and websites? 
I am pretty connected to the teams doing both, most of it is being done on irc and I 
will be bringing their content here and making sure they get in contact with us when 
we are ready for them.
  • Who are we translating for, and how will this material be put to action? 
Ideally, materials need to be translated for the general public for easy dissemination. Materials must be provided for 
media for talking points and sound bites. We also need text to create a website that is concise, non-threatening, and pithy
like YouFoundTheCard.com. In fact, it would behoove us to translate entire pages of that site as it stands.
  • Can march15.org and/or reconnect.org (same site) also be in the languages available at the moment?
    I think there should be more clarity to other anonymous, especially those that make announcements and websites, that we have a decently efficient translation project here that allows for more than English only.
